Legalitize uses AI language models (including Anthropic Claude) as one component of a multi-layer document generation system. AI is not the sole generator of documents — it operates within a structured framework of:
AI language models assist with drafting argument paragraphs, synthesizing user-provided facts into legal frameworks, and generating narrative sections. Structural elements, headings, citation formats, and jurisdictional requirements are rule-based, not AI-generated.
Your case data, document contents, and personal information are NOT used to train AI models — ours or any third party's. When AI processes your inputs to generate document text, that processing occurs within the context of your individual session and is not retained for model training purposes.
We have data processing agreements with AI providers (including Anthropic) that prohibit use of customer data for model training.
AI language models can produce inaccurate, outdated, or fabricated content — a phenomenon known as "hallucination." We mitigate this risk through:
Despite these measures, users must independently verify all legal citations, procedural requirements, and factual assertions before filing any document with a court or agency.
All documents generated by the Platform MUST be reviewed by the user before filing. We strongly recommend having generated documents reviewed by a licensed attorney when possible. Do not file any document without reading and understanding its full contents.
The primary AI model used in Legalitize is Anthropic's Claude. Anthropic's usage policies and privacy practices apply to AI processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.
As AI technology and our platform evolve, this policy will be updated. We will notify users of material changes to AI use practices via email and platform notification.
